The project idea was to answer the unsatisfied questions of telling the cultural heritage of the territory through new languages and the increasingly high-performance digital technologies, with the aim of experimenting with consequential innovative methodologies in adult education.
In 1773, King Ferdinand IV of Bourbon, concerned for the future of the many children of the village without education and education, established the first compulsory free school in Italy. In order to provide those boys, once they had been educated, with a job to support them, he thought of the introduction of a manufacture of crude silks.
The storytelling depicted in this video starts from the historical premises to explore
- The production techniques of San Leucio silk
- The history of the Royal Site with footage also in period costume
- Specific moments in the history of San Leucio narrated through digital animation techniques (Stories of King Ferdinando IV whose ghost appears on the Site; Work activities seen following the flight of a butterfly; The last day of opening of the silk mill).The storyboards were presented and discussed in the presence of the other project partners (in the meeting of the 1.12.2021).
This video is the results of months of tireless work of both young and adults students and the staff of Club per l’Unesco di Caserta and Informamentis Europa to create a final product that combined both the intuitive and innovative knowledge of digi-tales that was mainly developed by young students and the testing, discussions and creation with adult students to prepare a final storytelling that would be used in the educational paths reserved for them. The storytelling realized within the SCENARIO Project is accompanied by a video with interviews with young and adult students on the aspects of preparation, realization and training application of suitable digital tools.
